‘A Hot Set’ Refocuses The "Hard Numbers" Column

A Hot Set has shifted the direction of the monthly unscripted ratings column 'Hard Numbers' to streamline its focus to covering informative news and talk programming featuring people of color, eliminating its previous inclusion of reality-based programming.

The expanded new direction for the ‘Hard Numbers’ column will be divided into six subsections of monthly viewing figure averages. First, the column has a subsection focused on broadcast national news programs that air five original episodes Monday through Friday each week. Next, a subsection, that targets all national broadcast news programs that air original episodes on the weekend. Then, the column features a subsection covering the cable news programs that air original episodes Monday through Friday. After that, a subsection homes in on the weekend cable news programs. Finally, the column has two subsections, one with an emphasis on talk shows and the other with its focal point on sports news programs.

The updated version of the 'Hard Numbers' column provides readers with a more nuanced analysis of news and talk programming across the broadcast and cable linear television outlets. The data will be meticulously curated to offer insights into monthly viewership averages that interest network executives and advertisers alike.

The ‘Hard Numbers’ column is published on the second Wednesday of each month, starting with the first column available now on A Hot Set’s platform.

A Hot Set is dedicated to covering the business of entertainment for people of color. For more information about A Hot Set, visit the digital media platforms A.N. Publishing’s brand page.
