‘A Hot Set’ Welcomes Brooklyn Hollander as New TV Editor

A Hot Set has appointed Brooklyn Hollander as the new TV Editor. Brooklyn will oversee and strengthen the editorial team and expand the coverage of scripted and unscripted media, content creators, and the gaming sectors of the entertainment industry. 

Brooklyn started her journey into journalism during her high school years, where she honed her skills at Tritent Magazine. Taking on various roles such as online journalist, online director, and online editor. Her leadership and organizational abilities were evident as she spearheaded the reorganization and management of the magazine’s online presence, while also training and mentoring a new editor. During this time, she wrote and published over 60 online articles and contributed to the production of 15 physical magazines. Her dedication and talent caught the attention of LA Times High School Insider, where she also was a contributor. Brooklyn’s dedication to journalism continued at Washington University, where she served as the editor for Terra Magazine, showcasing her editorial prowess by meticulously editing and refining writers’ articles for multiple physical environmental campus magazines. 

Brooklyn’s commitment to excellence extended to her role as a copyeditor for Studentlife, the weekly campus newspaper. She expertly copyedited student articles, adhering to the renowned AP style guide. Some of Brooklyn’s academic achievements include being an AP Scholar with distinction, being a recipient of an Academic Enlamp with the highest honor, receiving an Academic Letter with honor, being a recipient of an English Departmental Award, being on the Dean’s List for five semesters, and attaining the status of being in the top 5% of her senior class. Brooklyn's passion for journalism led her to become a guest reporter for The Yonsei Annals while studying abroad at Yonsei University in South Korea. Brooklyn's educational background in Global Cultural Studies, Korean Language, and Culture from Washington University in St. Louis further enriches her understanding of diverse perspectives and cultural nuances.
