‘AHot Set’s’ AHS Awards Announces Changes And Additions To Its Virtual Award Ceremony

A Hot Set's second annual AHS Awards is thrilled to announce the addition of five new categories and the removal of the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress film categories for the upcoming virtual ceremony.

Among the new film nominations are Best Animated Film (which celebrates animated films showcasing people of color in central voice acting roles and featuring diverse animated characters), Best Short Film (honoring excellence in live-action, animated, and documentary shorts), and Best Screenplay (recognizing outstanding feature films solely or co-written by people of color).

Additionally, reflecting the growth and significance of people of color in competitive series and game show unscripted television genres, the AHS Awards has split the previous category the Best Host for Game/Competitive Series into two categories Best Competitive Series Host/Co-Hosts/Judges and Best Game Show Host. The division of these categories aims to better represent the notable contributions and achievements within these respective fields.

The nominees for the second annual AHS Awards will be announced in January 2024.The winners will be announced in February 2024.

The AHS Awards is a virtual awards ceremony that honors the best of people of color in the entertainment industry across film, television, gaming, and content creator categories.  The AHS Awards nominees and winners are selected by A Hot Set's staff and guest judges.
