‘A Hot Set’ Highlights POC Awards Media Ceremonies Across The United States
A Hot Set's Resource Portal details the American events that honor the best of people of color in media via the “Annual Awards Ceremonies” section.
Among the ceremonies that have been established to recognize the achievements, of POCs in media are the Urban One Honors created by Cathy Hughes (the founder of Urban One), the Imagen Awards created by The Imagen Foundation, the Unforgettable Gala created by James Ryu (publisher of Character Media), and the NAMIC Awards founded by The National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications.
In highlighting the for us by us prestigious award ceremonies that celebrate the creative accomplishments of POC across the United States, we stress that while winning an award regardless of its origins is good, the most important honor comes from the community you represent.
