The International Asia Reporter Intern will cover international content focused on selected countries in East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast region as their regular beat for Modern Treatise.

The candidate should be adept at understanding the geopolitics of the selected countries in East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast.

The candidate should be adept at understanding the nuances of domestic/national politics in selected countries in East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast.

The candidate must be able to look at geopolitical subject matters from multiple perspectives.

The candidate must be adept at relying on fact-based evidence rather than political or activist wish-thinking.

The candidate should be adept at understanding the ever-shifting state of the economy or economies of selected countries in East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast.

Responsibilities:

• Write a weekly column covering the social, economic, and political topics related to selected countries in East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast from their perspective.

• Special region-related coverage.

Duration: 6 months

This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
