Music Journalist intern

The Music Journalist intern will cover all music-related content as it identifies with and relates to The Ambony’s vision concerning our targeted demographic.

The candidate must possess an eclectic taste in music with an ability to listen to and write about music from all genres. 

The candidate must possess an ability to understand lyrics, composition, and deeper overall structures of the music scene. 

The candidate must possess the ability to delve into the meaning of lyrics, the feel, emotion, and sound of the music they cover. 

The candidate must possess an ability to discover new music artists as opposed to covering musical artists everyone knows about. 

Responsibilities: 

  • A monthly column highlighting emerging music artists. 

  • A monthly column highlighting DJs and DJ mixes

  • A biweekly column presenting album reviews.  

Duration: 6 months

This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
